Warangal, located about 140 kilometers from Hyderabad, was the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty that ruled over the region from the 12th to the 14th centuries. The city is home to a number of ancient temples, forts, and other architectural landmarks that reflect its rich cultural and historical heritage.
The tour begins with a visit to the Warangal Fort, a massive fortification built by the Kakatiyas that stands as a testament to the power and wealth of the dynasty. Other notable landmarks that we will be visiting include the Thousand Pillar Temple, a beautiful 11th-century temple known for its ornately carved pillars and intricate stone sculptures and the Khush Mahal, the first Delhi sultanate structure in Telangana.
